THE AVAILABILITY OF JOY POWERS ADORATION

Praise is the natural outcome of joy. The way fuel is used to power automobiles is the same way that joy is used to power praise. The availability of joy is the prerequisite for praise. It is very important for a believer to defend his/her joy so as to keep her praise unbroken. One thing that happens when someone is excited or joyful is that they connect inspiration, insight, and light. One cannot be spiritually weak if they are not empty of joy. Being depressed is an enemy of light; in order words, it is an anti-revelational agent.

The applicability of joy is the pathway to the high places of life and the scripture validates this (Habakkuk 3:18-19). This literally means that to be joyful is to escape the low places of life because actually, a valley is a depression on the earth's surface, so depression only keeps people in the valley, and excitement or joyfulness always takes people to the top. When you go through the book of (Neh.2:1-3) One of the secrets that took Nehemiah to the palace was that he was never sad and his countenance displays joyfulness because sad faces are never candidates for the palaces of the earth. Someone once told a story about how a person was discharged from his duty because he was always carrying a gloomy face and the person that discharged him responded when asked why he discharged the worker and he said that every adult is responsible for how his/her face looks.

Being joyful plays a vital role in positive events unfolding. This is evident in the book of (Proverbs 15:15) because the disposition an individual display towards life is a seed. The excited, optimistic, and enthusiastic living soul tends to have things under control because of the attitude they manifest or demonstrate. Generally speaking, joy is not a gift, it is a product of choice. One important key to being joyful is the joy of salvation because there is a joy that accompanies salvation and the scriptures in the book (Psalms 21:1; 51:10-12). Any salvation that does not accommodate joy is questionable and this joy is the kind that money cannot give nor buy because it is possible to buy the following below with money:
  • One can buy a wristwatch with money but cannot buy time.
  • A person can buy Panadol but cannot buy good and quality health.
  • An individual can buy an expensive bed but cannot buy sleep.

Happiness is a function of happenings, and it fades away with happenings because it is not authentic, but joy is a choice and the scriptures in the book of (John 15:11) confirms it. The fullness of the spirit is a very important key to the fullness of joy. When you take a look at the scriptures in the book of (Galatians 5:22 and 1 Thessalonians 1:6) it makes it clear that wherever the spirit is at work then joy is inevitable. So, taking the decision to walk oneself out of depression and loneliness will result in life's vibrancy.
